Look who’s in the kitchen with Mirepoix.

In French cooking, a mirepoix is a base created with onions, celery and carrots. Here in Louisiana, many Louisiana dishes begin with a Creole or Cajun mirepoix, a.k.a, “the Holy Trinity” – a heavenly smelling sauté comprised of three parts onions, two parts celery and one part bell pepper. It is the base that gives flavor to many Louisiana dishes like étouffée, gumbo and jambalaya.

The three ingredients that create Mirepoix Event Catering is that we are no stranger to New Orleans, the love and passion that goes into New Orleans Cooking, and executing events of all types.
